Project Overview: Solar Road Lighting—A Smarter and Brighter Future for Puntarenas
The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT) organized this impressive solar street lighting project, focusing on illuminating a 3 km (1.86 miles) stretch of the Puntarenas province known as “Angostura”. Designed to enhance visibility along sidewalks, bike paths, and main roads, the project prioritized safety and sustainability for both pedestrians and drivers.
A total of 117 HYPER series solar street lights were installed for a solar road lighting project, strategically distributed between the HYPER 25W and HYPER 45W models. These cutting-edge fixtures provide reliable, high-performance lighting without the need for trenching, cabling, or ongoing electricity costs.
